What Size Do I Wear? (for women's clothing)
For about 25 years, there used to be standardized sizing in North America. It was great. If you wore a size 10, you knew you were a size 10, no matter what the brand. But no more.
Don’t you just hate this? You take one size in one brand and another in a different brand. Some women have up to FIVE DIFFERENT SIZES of jeans in their closet, yet every pair fits the same! This is crazy.
I weigh about twenty pounds more than I did in high school, yet I now wear a smaller size. In the late 1990s, vanity sizing gained ground, and manufacturers began changing the sizes. An old school size 6 might now be as small as a double zero. But it still might be a 6, according to some manufacturers.
